Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas

with influence from…
Hiroshi Sugimoto‘s long exposure in cinema work.

————————————

i didnt want to loose all the detail though i wanted to create a layered effect with a few scenes, i certainly had fun making them 🙂 If it’s not obvious already all the images were done with long exposures, some for 2 seconds with high brightness on my laptop and others for 30 seconds with a low brightness. I am happy with them. i would like to document a whole episode, but i will have to do that on film tomorrow. I think the subtitles work particularly well, they almost look like exposure montages. oh and images which look like they have been zoomed or coming out of the screen were done by using a 4 second exposure and slowly zooming in/out using a zoom lens. 🙂
