It was exhibition day today, Me and Genea were in charge of taking photos for Elly Clarkes website, and filming a presentation made at the exhibition, then editing it and putting it onto disc. We decided to divide the photos, genea would do documentary, with a flash (because it was really dark) and i would do low light shots that capture peoples use of torches looking around the exhibition. The filming was pretty easy, we just set up the tripod and recorded away, it was the photos that took the most effort, making sure you got every person, captured the atmosphere of the night whilst still making “nice” images.
You can see the images I took here…
I think working with Elly in this project has taught me a lot about curating, I am really lucky to have had the experience of photo taking experience with Nadav Kander and a month later experience the Curating your work side, I feel like I am getting an all round experience of how photography really works, from taking the image to getting people to buy it.
