making my video flow

I am a strong believer that it’s the little things that make a difference, a flowing video appeals more aesthetically. I know the intent here is to make an experimental video, but even the most outragous videos are made in a certain way, they arent just thrown together.

First things first, the moment the black started switches to the eye is the moment i want a tock of the clock to happen, it works side by side to have a sudden scene change on a beat.

I also tried to use that sound I found in the last post, but I really didn’t think it worked, so i tried some flash imagery that appears with the noise.

Like a white screen…

Or an xray image…

I then remembered that cartoon effect I had found, I applied it to just the stop motion but this looked to chaotic, so I applied it to the whole film, and I quite like it, it gives it that surreal effect i’ve been looking for.

(I’ve uploaded it HD so you can see the full effect)

I have now also decided that it doesn’t matter if the slow motion is at the wrong time, this whole video is meant to be about manipulating time, it’s not meant to run smoothly. So this is what I have so far. I think I will sleep on it and watch it tomorrow and write my initial instinct.
